Hearing Gods Voice
HOW TO HEAR GODS VOICE
Reading God’s Word
Hearing is an ability God has given unto His children and God wants everyone to hear Him. This is not something meant for a few people, is not meant for some special people but for God’s children – all of us.
There are so many voices in man: the voice of the physical mind, the voice of the soul, and the voice of the man’s spirit. We hear God’s voice through our inner man by the help of the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:13) as we constantly read God’s Word.
Constant reading of God’s Word will certainly help one to hear God’s voice – it’s like a trigger/activator. The Voice of God in us responds to the Word of God in us. In other words, God’s voice in us acknowledges His own Word as soon as the Word we read drops in our inner man.
The golden truth is that constant reading of the Word of God will begin to prepare all the faculties (the voice of the physical mind, the voice of the soul & the voice of the man’s spirit) for hearing to begin to align and recognize the voice of God in us (Heb 4:12; Isaiah 30:21).
In the Old Testament, men of God had to climb up to mountain tops to hear from God. Yet, hath He now in this new dispensation given us His voice, who being His Spirit dwelling in us and sharing with us the very essence and potency of God Himself.
In our daily lives, we only recognize a person’s voice because we know and have heard this voice constantly over a period of time. Even when the person is inside a room and we are outside, we are still able to tell that he/she is speaking. It is the same correlation with constant reading of God’s Word, God’s voice, and our hearing.
The voice of God is not coming to tell us about what this person is going through or what you are seeing about a person. The voice of God is coming to correct, instruct, guide, comfort, and to nurture the one who now hears of Him firstly before others.
God wants us to read His Word, have a constant relationship with Him, hear from Him, and to know His voice (Jn 10:14-16).
Kindly share to be a blessing to others. Thank you.
